Prof .Dr. Maha El Rabbat is a Professor of Public Health at Cairo University, the Executive Director of the Middle East and North Africa Policy Forum. She was appointed by WHO Director General as one of six Special Envoys on COVID-19, to provide strategic advice and high-level political advocacy and engagement in different parts of the world. Dr. El Rabbat is the former Minister of Health and Population for Egypt, has held several high-level academic and leadership positions, and worked as a health system and governance expert with national, regional, and international organizations.
