Sarojini Nadimpally has been working on public health and women’s health issues in India for the last three decades. She is one of the founders of Sama Resource Group for Women and Health, and the Coordinator of Gender justice circle of People's Health Movement Global. Currently she has been appointed by the National Human Rights Commission as a Member of Expert Committee to assess the impact of COVID 19 and provide recommendations to the Govt. She was the Pubic health member of Mission Steering Group, National Health Mission, and the former Member of Central Ethics Committee of Indian Council for Medical Research. She works at the intersection of public health, human rights, women’s health and marginalization; She has led several studies, fact findings and advocacy over the past two decades on health systems, medical and reproductive technologies, conflict and public health, access to medicines & ethics in clinical research, and currently on the COVID 19 and its impact on marginalised.
