Ben Oppenheim, PhD, is Vice President of Product, Policy, and Partnerships at Metabiota. A social scientist by training, his current research focuses on preparedness for epidemic and pandemic threats, the socio-economic impacts of infectious disease outbreaks, and rumors and misinformation. He currently serves as a commissioner on the Lancet-SIGHT Commission on peaceful societies through health and gender equality, and previously spent a decade working with multilateral and non-governmental organizations on aid, conflict, and development.
