Dr. Chak currently serves as the Health System Strengthening Team Leader in the Office of Public Health and Education at USAID/Cambodia. He has worked for USAID for over 20 years and has experience of managing projects and activities focused on Tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, Maternal and Child Health, other Infectious Disease Prevention and Control, and Health System Strengthening. He has been coordinating with multiple health institutions at national and sub-national levels as well as public and private sectors. He received a Medical Doctor Degree from the University of Health Science in Phnom Penh (1990). He has significant training in key public health program areas including health financing, quality improvement, decentralization of health systems, and community based health interventions. He is married and has two children. Dr. Chak spends his free time in listening to music, exploring Information Technology and playing sports such as swimming, biking and running.
