David O. Barbe, MD, MHA is a board-certified family physician from Mountain Grove, Missouri, USA, and previously served as the 172nd president of the American Medical Association (AMA) from June 2017 to June 2018. He was a member of the AMA Board of Trustees (BOT) from 2009-2019. At the moment he is serving as the elected President of the World Medical Associations (WMA).
