Dr. Kenneth G. Ronquillo is the Assistant Secretary for Health Policy and Systems Development and the Office of Strategy Management of the Department of Health (DOH). He is lead Secretariat to the DOH’s Performance Governance System Core Team and lead convener of the Philippine HRH Network that spearhead the crafting of the Philippine Human Resources for Health Master Plan 2020-2040, with the assistance of USAID’s HRH 2030 Program and the World Health Organization. Currently, he is also Head Secretariat of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID), the Philippines’ primary policy-making arm in-charge of the prevention and control of the local spread of emerging infectious diseases specifically COVID-19. He was trained in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, International Health and Public Health Methodology, Human Resource Development and Management, and Health Sector Reform and Sustainable Financing.
